HOW TO PREPARE FOR 2010-2011

7/8th Grade Orchestra Supply List

>Rosin – “Pops” rosin for bass

>Extra set of strings – Prelude is a good brand

>Shoulder Rest- violins / violas OR Rock Stop – cello /bass

>Soft Cloth

>3-4 Pencils – for orchestra only

>1” Black Binder

>Orchestra T-Shirt - $12

>Orchestra Fairshare Usage Donation $30 –

(This money will help start up funds for our Orchestra program, help pay for uniforms and

cleaning fees, music, equipment, UIL fees, district/region fees, and any miscellaneous items

needed to run the orchestra program. With this money and fundraisers, the orchestra will be

able to purchase more instruments as well. Payment plans can be made for your convenience;

however, it would be much appreciated if this donation can be made at the time of our String

Camp)

A little blurb about Mrs. López

Clarissa López is beginning her fifth year as a music educator. She earned her Bachelors

Degree from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in music education and her Masters Degree

from The University of Texas in trumpet performance. She currently plays trumpet with

two local Austin groups and violin with her church choir. Mrs. López is happily married

and has a Cockapoo dog named Cha-Cha.
